We are currently conducting some interesting bone models. One model investigates the osteogenic effects of various scaffolds and stem cell preparations on calvarial defects in rats. A second model investigates the role of a scaffold-stem cell preparation on sternal transection and osteo-myelitis, a common post thoracic surgery sequel. CBI would employ microCT, histology, radiology, immunohistochemistry, inflammatory mediators and microbiological culture on the target tissues.
